As part of my coursework as a digital filmmaking minor, I enrolled in a class designed to push our boundaries in experimental and new media film and editing techniques. In collaboration with classmate Kirby Fowler (SCU '23), we assembled the following hypothetical music video for Dr. Dog's "Where'd All the Time Go" using a combination of archival footage and actual footage. In this project, we implemented and manipulated various editing techniques including: projection, color correction, J and L cuts, match cuts, and chroma and luma keying. Supplemental present day footage recorded using juxtaposition of drone and handheld vintage camcorder.
